Harris Hideaway offers a serene Scandi style home, with warm woods and a soft palate of blues and greys to compliment the surrounding landscape. You’ll find a few unique pieces of furniture hand made by Richard such as the kitchen bar table and hand carved bowls, alongside features from our favourite independent interior designers.
The main room is an incredible space with open plan living. Relax on the sumptuous sofa watching sea eagles glide past. Curl up in the love seat in front of the log burner on a winter’s night. Cook up a feast in the kitchen and enjoy meals of locally caught seafood at the dining table with front row seats.

Rest & Recharge
Both bedroom and bathroom have been designed for luxuriating in. The super king bed is positioned at the front of the room with incredible sea views. Sliding doors open up to the bedroom deck, perfect for a bare foot wander or morning yoga session. Behind you’ll find a dressing area and walk-in wardrobe to keep your bedroom space clutter free.
Wander through to the bathroom and take bathing to another level in the huge wave bath. Views out to sea from both the bath and walk-in shower ensure this space is a tranquil retreat. Indulge yourself in the wonderful selection of toiletries from Ishga; vegan and organic, made from local Hebridean seaweed.

Luxury Living
The sauna is a place where you can fully recharge. Aspen wood walls, hand waxed in a muted grey, this space is a hideaway in itself and most definitely a room with a view! It has its own shower room attached, allowing for a traditional Nordic cold shower between sauna sessions.
As the sun goes down, fill the outdoor copper tub and relax under the stars with the sound of waves lapping, or enjoy slow mornings in the bath watching for otters or seals bobbing in the bay below.
Delightful Details
Included in your stay is a wonderful Island Welcome Hamper with a bottle of the famous Isle of Harris Gin and other Hebridean treats. The kitchen has been created for chefs with everything you need for cooking up a feast or taking life slow, with an espresso to start the day.
After a day in the hills, head to the utility room which is kitted out with sink and washer dryer, along with lots of space to dry your outdoor gear. Next door to this, you’ll find the Gin Loo!
Harris Hideaway is designed all on one level, ensuring that it is accessible and as wheelchair friendly as possible.
Dogs are very welcome throughout the house and will enjoy the enclosed terrace area out front. Please do bear in mind that the Hideaway is located on a working croft with sheep and deer all around.
In the storm porch you’ll find an outdoor shower, handy for cleaning sandy paws and muddy boots.
